After prayerful consideration, the board has unanimously called for Rachel Amantea and Blaine Egger to be nominated as board members for the upcoming term. You can get to know a little more about the two nominees below. Jeremy Koot’s term has come to an end this year, and we are incredibly thankful for his years of service to our church. The congregation will vote in new board members at the upcoming AGM on Sunday November 6th at 6pm. Please keep Rachel and Blaine in your prayers over the coming weeks.
RACHEL
Rachel is married to David, and mother to Joshua, Benaiah, and Isabella. The Amantea family has been attending our church for 10 years. Rachel cares so well for people, and has strong administrative skills as well as experience in business, board, committee, and managerial activities at a community level, giving her a unique perspective in many situations. When asked about why she wants to be a part of the board and her heart for Via Lethbridge, Rachel writes “I love this church, its leaders, and its congregation, and want to serve it in any way I can. My heart for Via Lethbridge is that we would honour and reflect Christ in all we do, as individuals and as a church body. I would love to see us continue to grow into a loving, supportive community that exists for God’s glory and in doing so, becomes a beacon of His light and hope for a hurting world.”
BLAINE
Blaine and his wife Rolanda have been married for 38 years and together have four adult children and seven grandchildren. They have been attending Via for over a decade! Blaine is the owner /operator of a local construction company and has previously served as an ordained minister, children’s pastor, and youth pastor. He also has leadership experience on a variety of boards, including schools and churches. Blaine writes “I would offer knowledge and expertise to the board through my life's experiences. I believe there's a great need for unity in the body of Christ and the need to proclaim his love through the Church.”
